Craven County in World War I

This site includes numerous newspaper articles taken from The Morning New Bernian and The Sun-Journal during the years of World War I (1916-1919). Included in the selection are letters from soldiers written either from training camp or from the front in France. Other articles detail the deaths of Craven County soldiers during this period; some from enemy action, some from disease.
